About Us

Carter has two loves in this world. His family and the water. After getting out of the Army, Carter and his wife, Annie relocated to North Carolina to work at marinas on Lake Norman. It didn't take long for Carter to fall for this lake and the people around it. Which is when he approached his best friend, Matt with an idea for the lake community that is now becoming a reality.

Matt is a successful Canadian business owner with years of mechanical experience. He specializes in high performance vehicles and custom built boats. When the idea was brought to his attention he immediately took action. The project seemed like the perfect opportunity to become part of the Lake Norman community in a unique way. 

The Snack Barge was created to bring the community of Lake Norman together through food, entertainment, and the love for boating. Together, we can make each season better than the last!
